Mickey Scherer, Vice President of Leadership Development at CRH
As Vice President, Leadership Development, Mickey spearheads the Global Frontline Leadership Program impacting the development of over 10,000 frontline leaders worldwide. Mickey’s passion for helping others to reach their potential and identifying top talent across the organization has contributed to the success of the Frontline Leadership Program and positioning the company as an employer of choice in the industry.
Mickey joined CRH in 2007 as the Regional Vice President for the Great Lakes Region. Most recently she was the Vice President, Talent and Leadership Development for CRH Americas. Prior to joining CRH, Mickey was Vice President, Human Resources for Midmark Corporation, a medical device and equipment manufacturer. With a background in organizational development, succession planning, leadership development and performance management, Mickey has over thirty years of experience in talent management.
Mickey holds a bachelor’s degree from Bowling Green State University and a Masters in Positive Organizational Development & Change from Case Western Reserve University. Additionally, she is a DDI Master Facilitator, SPHR and SHRM-SCP certifications, member of SHRM and ATD, and is certified in Appreciative Inquiry. Mickey resides in Columbus, Ohio. She has two grown daughters, one living in Atlanta, GA and the other in Columbus, Ohio.

Founder of GRIT Community a virtual women’s leadership group with over 1,3k members and over 100 paid members. Was named by Associated General Contractors National top volunteer in 2021 and AGCMO Top volunteer receiving the AGC1ST Award in 2021, & 2022. National Women in Construction named Jennifer most Influential women in 2024. Served as a STL Dancing with the Stars in 2025, Two-time top Titan Award winner in 2024 & 2025. Served as a Leukoma and Lymphoma visionary in 2024 and is now on the leadership board. She co-leads a Women’s Leadership column through SBM highlight female leaders with our community 2024 & 2025. She is an inclusive community builder who is passionate about supporting business owners, and female leaders in various industries and titles.
She is a dedicated mother, community connector, and outdoor adrenaline adventurer. Jennifer has a jewelry line called Jennifer Bardot signatures and a GRIT Product line in addition to her books, Grit Community Coaching Program and GRIT Community women's organization.
